Complete the worksheet on percent error.

Science
Redraw your graph that shows what happens when a sample of water changes from solid, to liquid, to gas.  Underneath, explain your graph using your science vocabulary from class.  See textbook page 246 for help.

Success Criteria

"I can . . ."

  1. Make an x-axis and a y-axis.  Leave enough room to label each axis.
  2. Write “Temperature in ℃.” on the y-axis.
  3. Write “Time” on the x-axis.
  4. At the top of the graph write “Change of State of a 500 gram Sample of Water.”
  5. Create a scale on the y-axis that makes sense.  Remember, you must go from -100 degrees to 150 degrees.

Read pages 18-24 in Monster.  Summarize the important events in a paragraph.

Social Studies
Read pages 182-186.  
1. Review your graphic organizer of the three branches of the federal government.
2. In a complete paragraph, describe how the system of checks and balances works. Support your writing with  specific evidence from the text.
